Whatever the style of conservatory you will need to seal the roof to your house wall with a suitable flashing. You can use a sticky bitumen flashband for speed of installation, but a more lasting result is achieved with a lead flashing chased into the brickwork and dressed down onto the roof after glazing.
The wall rafter on a pitched Shield roof incorporates a channel to take the lead rather than it lapping down onto the roof glazing as in some inferior systems. You can find more information in our guide on how to cut and install lead flashing.
