From dark and dingy to light and bright

13 January 2010

This customer had an existing lean-to conservatory with perfectly servicable frames but a rather low lean-to roof which made the conservatory and house feel dark and over-shadowed.

They bought a new Edwardian hipped-back roof complete with box gutter from Centurion and installed it onto to original frames with the box gutter fixed back to the bungalow fascia. It required some careful measuring, but all fitted perfectly. Our customers were delighted with the transformation and the extra light and space created by the new roof.

Here are some of the pictures whilst I removed all the old roofing structure and prepared the eves and fascia ready to accept the new roof.

After 3 (14 hour) days you can see my hard work has paid off.

All wiring consealed and ready for 2 x combined fans / lights. Also wired for 1 x corner external light.

I am really impressed with the look of the conservatory, it has given the structure a whole new look and feel.

All according to plan.....

5 January 2010

This was a very large T Shape conservatory in light oak finish. It was built on to a raised wooden terrace and dimensions, especially heights, were critical. Our Surveyor visited site to take final dimensions and we worked closely with the client and his builder to ensure a perfect fit and finish. The finished conservatory exceeded 30m² so we also had to ensure compliance with Building Regulations, achieved with additional support for the roof provided by wooden piers built into the framework.

Hi Julie

We have now completed the conservatory and I must say it looks superb and also very very big.

It went together easily and without a single hitch and all the components were delivered without damage. The whole process from design to delivery has been 1st class and the changes I made were never a problem to you.

Thanks to you and all your team for the professional service you have given me.

I will send photos when the inside flooring, blinds and furniture are all fitted.

I do require one small part replaced that I trod on and broke and that is the external 90 degree eaves clad joint for the inside. Please could you post this to me and I will send payment back by return.

Thanks again

Regards,

David V, Kent

Beautiful Gable-fronted P-Shape Conservatory

3 December 2009

This impresive Gable-fronted P Shape conservatory covers the whole back of the house. Our customers were concerned to make sure that the conservatory would not overshadow the house and make the internal rooms dark so chose Reflex glass for the roof. As well as boing bright and airy, this glass keeps heat in and bills down in winter, combined with fantastic anti-sun properties, giving true year-round use. Mr & Mrs K undertook all the work themselves from foundations to flooring for a conservatory to be truly proud of.

Dear Centurion Conservatories

We enclose a CD-ROM of photographs showing the on-site construciton of our conservatory which you provided under the above job number.

The conservatory was completed in the summer of 2007 and we are highly delighted with it.

We undertook all of teh work ourselves, except when we needed to enlist the help of friends with the above ground facing brickwork and the roof assembly.

From the photographs you will see that we have a really nice conservatory to be proud of and as I have said to Debbie your sales manager during the construction phase "We would have no problems recommending Centurion DIY Conservatories to other prospective clients."

As you are looking for material for your forthcoming publicity material, you have our permission to use any photographs on the enclosed CD-ROM. Also as you are running a photograph for the best photographs, could you select any of ours that are suitable to be entered?

Many thanks for providing a wonderful extension to our home and best regards.

Your sincereley

Edwardian Before and After

1 December 2009

Here is a beautiful example from Keith D. of Stourbridge who built a new gable onto the back of his house to take his Edwardian conservatory. Centurion made the conservatory roof pitch to match the new gable exactly. The result is a conservatory which compliments the house to perfection. Thankfully Keith sent us more photos through that show the build project.

Hi Debbie,

Trust that you are well. As promised please find attached two photos of my conservatory. I am exceedingly pleased with it, all went well thanks to your help. It has had many hours of use since it was finished. The most pleasing thing about it is that it encourages us to relax and go to sleep!

I apologise that it has taken so long but I first of all had problems with the floor and secondly the the surroundings looked like a building site and would not haver looked good in a photo!

Thank you all once again, I am glad that I chose your company, I would recommend you to anyone.

Best regards,

Keith D

Lean To Conservatory

30 November 2009

We love to hear back from customers when they finish their projects. Here is an email we received this week from a couple in Fareham. You can see from their photos what a wonderful addition their new conservatory makes to their house.

conservatory end july 09 023.JPG

Hello Debbie

I know its been a while since receieving the conservatory in flat pack, but as promised here are some photos of the conservatory in place.
We found the contruction fairly straight forward, but as always we could put another one together in half the time now we have practiced!!!
It was more the finishing touches which took the time.
I would like to say that we are over the moon with the conservatory, and moved the lounge in as soon as we could. We are especially pleased with the glass roof effect, and everyone who has come round to have a look has said they should have had a glass roof on their conservatories! Which is good to hear.

So on behalf of my wife and myself we would like to say a great big thankyou to you and all your colleagues for making us a fantastic conservatory at a great price, with excellent service and delivery. We would recommend your company to anyone wishing to build a diy conservatory.

Thanks again
