Flashings

Whatever the style of conservatory you will need to seal the roof to your house wall with a suitable flashing. You can use a sticky bitumen flashband for speed of installation, but a more lasting result is achieved with a lead flashing chased into the brickwork and dressed down onto the roof after glazing.

The wall rafter on a pitched Shield roof incorporates a channel to take the lead rather than it lapping down onto the roof glazing as in some inferior systems.
